Grounded

We had planned to return to Nice this morning but after our relative dissappoint last night we decided to stay closer to the hotel and visit the local (sandy!) beach of Juan led Pins.

Nikki and I basked in the sun, sneakily devouring almond croissants and pain du chocolate while Ernie fastidiously examined the sand.

Feeling refreshed and ready for the next leg of the journey, we set off only for me to 'ground' the car on a curb, ripping the plastic casing off the underside of car. Lucky for having European roadside assist!

Thankfully the wee man slept for a good portion of waiting time and then he hung out in the cool air conditioned hotel where he was fawned over by hotel lady.

Once the breakdown man had fixed us up we were on our way again. Fortunately we had a pretty low key day planned so didn't really affect our day to much.

Having had a quick swim in the hotel pool (which Ernie loved), we're about to head in to Aix-en-Provence for low key dinner.

While Mum and the wee man had a nap I researched places to stay for the next few days. I think I've found some good 'uns.
