Wasps being a real nuisance

Despite storm & flood warnings today it has been warm & dry enough at times for the bees to fly. Saw several bees return to the hive with a very light coloured pollen, more white than yellow.

The wasps are constantly trying to get in. Generally they seem to be beaten back at the entrance but others seem to get in. What happens then I don't know. Perhaps they are then stung to death. In front of the entrances there are a number of dead wasps as seen in the Blip. Slightly to the centre, a bee is carrying out a dead bee. At the entrance to the green hive, a wasp can be seen trying to get in.

As soon as we have a warmer day (hopefully by Saturday) I will open up to see how they are coping with the sugar solution and make sure I haven't now got 3 large wasp nests!
