Old Armory Building
This structure was erected in 1897 on this site to store armaments for any future conflict that Australia may face. It was built beside the Parramatta river for easy accessibility as it could be service direct from Sydney Harbour thus negating the need for the transportation by rail or road.
The building has been restored as well as the surrounding area and serves as a tourist venue.
You can see the rails entering the building which were needed to carry the stores from the landing craft on the river.
