Holy Cross College

I happened to be walking along Victoria Road in Gladesville and noticed this fine old building known as Holy Cross College. I guess that I have driven past it on many occasions on my way to the city but until you pass by walking it is impossible to realise the grandeur of the building.
It was completed in 1898 originally for a boys boarding home but now the site of an elite college for students.
Australia being a recently settled country does not feature many similar buildings of similar age and there is a drive to preserve our old heritage.
