Indian Baptism

The Ganesh festival: marvelous thundering music and then, at The Gateway To India, actual thunder and lightning stalking and shaking the whole city, the sky dropped a proper bathful of water on me and I only barely managed to keep the camera mostly dry by crowding under various kindly umbrellas, then buying one from a street trader. The water never stopped and the thunder increased in volume till it felt like what I imagine an artillery barrage might be like, a full on war with silence and sleep.

But before it started, I managed to get a couple of shots like the one above.
