Sun?
Does a big sunflower in the sky count as the sun? Maybe not. It felt more like November today. Mam has grown some very tall sunflowers this year - this one was towering to about 10 foot. Not sure how they survive the wind up here. I'm also not sure where the bright white background comes from - it was grey and dull in real life!
Mr B came back from a quick trip to France today so an early trip to the airport to pick him up followed by a trip to my Gran's to see how she's keeping. She's had some heart problems, necessitating her first trip to a doctor of any kind since 1942 (when she had her last baby). She seems to be doing ok, and is at least now letting other people do things for her. She's a really amazing woman - once asking my dad to go and pick up a ladder she wanted from B&Q because she'd found the old steps a bit wobbly when she was hammering the wires for her new doorbell up around the cornicing. She was 85 then (and my dad is an electrician so was slightly offended at being relegated to delivery boy status). She shot for England, ran a business and makes a mean scone.
We were going to head over the hills to a nearby Beer and Blues festival, but the weather had us scurrying home for beer and blues around the kitchen table instead (with added Observer and weekend FT).
Oh, and I forgot to mention that our long long long awaited app for the iPhone is finally on sale. It was held up by Apple because there're pictures of alcohol so we had to include a 12+ certification. Grrr. I don't imagine the blip rules will allow me to say what the app is (which is fair enough) and anyway I don't really want to inflict any more of my rubbish photos on you lot, you've suffered enough already.
Now the cash should start rolling in. 59p plus 79 euro cents and counting....
