Life, not as we see it.

By GOT

Happy to be home? I think not.

Hello! Here we are again. Just to let you know we got home safely.
Here we are sitting in the garden having a "Doppio Espresso" after eating our"Panini al Tono e Cipoli Rossi". It was going to be a glass of Vino Rosso, but someone said 2:30 pm was too early. Not when we were on the other side of the channel it wasn't!
Pleasantly surprised to be able to sit oot 2/3rds through September. Long may it continue.
Ship arrived on schedule at Hull and we had a pleasant drive up to Edinburgh. Came up the back road from Alnwick just to force the speed down, having been used to continental motorway velocities for the last wee while. Detoured through Lauder to avoid being stuck behind a huge truck load of straw bales, teetering up the road. Guess who we were behind when we reached Pathhead?

Anyway, it was sunshine all the way, I kid you not, until we reached the City by-pass, when it clouded over. 3,425 miles completed, and only roughly 100 miles with the roof up!
Ave 50+ MPG.

Glad to be home really, but raring to be off again.

Watch this space.
Cheers,
G & S
