My Fun Week ahead

This is what we should have done at the beginning of our house renovation. We didn't though, because it started off as a bit of decorating hither and thither and a bit of flooring needed taking down.

And then there was the re-appointing of cupboards in the kitchen. And then we wanted to take the wallpaper back to the plaster. And then we started hiring people to help us. And before we knew it the whole place had been ripped apart and we seemed to be renovating an entire house. All at one. With no holiday days to take, our normal jobs and 2 kids that insisted on seeing us.

This has been one of the biggest learning curves I've ever been on and right at the very top of that curve are two simple words.

NEVER

AGAIN

The only thing that makes this all worthwhile is knowing our house is going to look great eventually and that when we so move in, we will finally be able to close the door on ten solid months of anticipation, planning and change.

I'll drink to that so I will.
