As promised...

Up at 5 am!! A cup of tea and a shower, and out the door we went! Alfred had Carbis Bay beach all to himself for at least half an hour – he loved it!! The sunrise was absolutely devine!

Later, after breakfast, we visited Pendennis and St Mawes Castles near Falmouth. We had Rick Stein’s grilled fish and chips for lunch, which were delicious! It was another lovely day and I’m so glad we got up so early as the first couple of hours of the morning were the best weather-wise – the rest was rain and wind! ‘Red sky in the morning, shepherds warning’ so of course it was going to be rainy later on! That’s a small price to pay for such a beautiful sunrise though! We’re back in the apartment now and dinner is cooking. The sun’s come out again so I’m going for a quick walk in the back lanes with Alfred to make the most of it! Here’s hoping for a full day of sunshine and blue skies tomorrow! :-)
