Happy Friday

Worked the day and during it I had the good fortune to pick up a passenger in his blazer, beret, medals and chain of office. A Normandy Veteran, if he was 18 on June 6th 1944 that makes him 94 now. He smelt strongly of alcohol;

"Hello young man I'm bombed, can I get on your bus"
"Sir it would be my pleasure"

If he hadn't had a pass I wouldn't have let him pay. A middle aged man offered him a seat and people smiled with him, not at him, he cheered my day.

When I finished it was a very quick run to the Holiday Inn Plymouth to meet the family, parked and off to Nando's for spicy chicken.

Early night, big day tomorrow.
