working my way through the corn fields of iowa. finished work early today, so was able to dash back to chicago at noon. along the way, i came upon a detour (due to road construction), and followed it for a while. at about this time, i realized i had some time to kill, as i would be in chicago by 3p, and didn't have a flight until 9p.

knowing i was not about to head into the city and wander around with three pieces of luggage in tow, i decided to wander off the beaten path some and let the gps do the navigating.

this was essentially the highlight of the entire journey - a corn field with a small slope to it!
