Day 31 – Glovertown, Newfoundland

Another long drive day today as we left Twillingate and headed to St John’s over on the western coast of Newfoundland. We made two stops – first at the North Atlantic Aviation Museum in Gander and secondly (and most importantly) at Glovertown!

Named after a former governor, Glovertown rolled out the red carpet for Michael’s arrival! Well not exactly but we certainly drew a lot of quizzical looks! The town is very small and certainly not on the tourist trail. It is the sort of place where everyone knows everyone. So two randoms taking photos of various places with the name Glovertown has probably been a subject of local discussion for days!

Here is a great photo of Michael at HIS marina!
