Bushy house

As part of london open house The national Physical laboratory (NPL) opened up Bushy House to the public.
Edward Proger was charged with building a lodge for King Charles 2 in the Middle Park of which he was the keeper. it was part of the Hampton Court Parks. It cost £4000
there were many residents of the lodge, mainly politicians, until 1899 when NPl was formed. It seems the house was given to them. today NPL is an extensive site conducting much research. It did valuable research during the war years too.
