Bubbles gets a bath

After getting hosed down and shampooed in the back yard, a reproachful Bubbles endures a blow dry. Bubbles and her big brother Brutus, traveled to Ohio with the rest of our daughter's family. They are great little travelers, but after a couple of nights of camping out along the way, their coats were pretty much matted and not a little dirty. If any of you Blippers are considering adding a small dog to your family, these little Bichons make great companions. Brutus, by the way, is named after the Ohio State mascot because our daughter and her husband both graduated from Ohio State.

Today was the hottest and most miserable day of this summer (in my opinion anyway). The high temperature was 95 degrees, but with a heat index factor of 106. Only our bedrooms have AC, and we had a house full with five grandchildren plus Gulliver and three granddogs. Talk about hot! I'm hoping this heat wave is a short-term one!
