KIRKCALDY FILM FESTIVAL

A wonderful weekend of film at this festival---a World Premier of Wayland's Song directed by Richard Jobson, a Kirkcaldy lad, and starring Michael Nardone from Ballingry: a Golden Oldie, Sunset Boulevard and tonight a Swedish Film, Call Girl, based on a factual episode in Swedish politics where the baddies triumphed. There was a Darkness about each of these and that may be why I enjoyed them so much;I'm not keen on 'happy ever after endings' so when each film ended with the death of a significant character I felt the tales had a certain validity. Cussed devil that I am!
