Rowan

An impromptu walk out of Charlesworth up Combes Edge proved a great success - sunshine , great views some birds including a Kestrel. Lots of other walkers with smiles as well. There were Swallows heading south on migration (around 20) and I read later that 10's of thousands of them were seen today at Portland bird observatory heading out across the Channel for France and all points south to Africa. So this Autumn and soon birds will be glad of the Rowan berries.
