There and back again

A splash of colour

Its an awful morning here today, thick mist up on the moor so we opted for our low level walk in Soussons plantation. The mist hangs in the trees and makes dark looming avenues that do not invite you to walk through. We did come across this Mountain Ash heavy with red berries that stood out like a beacon in the gloom.

Whilst walking we heard the sound of a dog barking somewhere amongst one of the denser area's of trees. We became worried in case it had been injured but try as we might we could not get close to its location because of the thick vegetation. We whistled and shouted and after a while it stopped. A bit unsettling as we would not want to leave it there if we could help. I think we will go back after lunch.
