Soldiers' and Sailors' Memorial

I'm making a strong attempt to get back into running despite the challenges of academia (a word I despise.) This morning my turn around point was this memorial where I paused to pay tribute to those injured and lost last week at the Navy Yard shooting, and to pray for those whose lives have been lost, forever altered, and for those whose still hang in the balance in Nairobi. Today my heart is looking for the helpers in this world...
