BIONNASSAY GLACIER

I sat here in shorts and sandals and had my lunch, more baguette and Brie. The following week when we looked up to this spot, at 2380 metres, it was covered in snow 3 mornings running. The sun soon melted it off though.

A helicopter buzzed around below us and a man was flown off strapped to a stretcher dangling underneath. Not the way down I fancy.
