HARVEST TIME

A riverside walk near Les Contamines Montjoie today ending at the chapel of Dame de la Gorge. The Mont Blanc Photo Festival has part of their outdoor exhibition here and the photos were stunning.

The hot sun brought out lots of Camberwell Beautys and small bright blue butterflies. We had a ride up in a cable car to L'Etape on the side of Mont Joly, and wandered about before sitting under sun umbrellas with a long cold drink at the cafe.

On the way back to the chalet we came across this sight. I asked permission to take the photo and received a nod in reply. Unfortunately, afterwards as I thanked them and turned to walk back to the car, the horse decided he'd had enough and set off in pursuit. Much shouting and dragging of the horse ensued.
