Ah, Sunday afternoon. Children quietly playing. United getting spanked on the box. Dinner cooking gently in the kitchen. An enormous explosion from the oven. Just the average Sunday...

So this is the oven in question. Out of nowhere, the so-called "safety glass" decided to go bang just as it was pre-heating for Sunday dinner. It's about three years old...and quite a common occurrence with this model, apparently.
