'The Plastic Palace'

Another piece of 'sculpture' today - this time at the RSPB site at Minsmere. The 'palace' (constructed by their artist in residence) is made from plastic collected from the tideline. Visitors are invited to collect items from the beach and add to the sculpture which in turn will make the beach a better place for wildlife!
We had a lovely day at Minsmere - lots of paths to explore and hides to watch the birdlife. I didn't know what most of them were but I was really pleased to see a couple of birds that I have never seen before - Bittern and Kingfisher. What a stunning bird the Kingfisher is - vibrant colours especially in the sunshine. It was also a bit smaller than I was expecting.
