Summer Dreams

It is not summer, it is mid-winter New Zealand, the temperature was minus2 this morning but a glorious clear day followed. I found a club of retired men out "sailing" their beautiful model yachts in the lake in the centre of the city. It was a serious and deadly competition and a recording of the boasting and sledging that went on lakeside would have been a hilarious way to add to this blip. The photos I took were lovely of the men, but I really liked the impressionist look this gives of one of the grand-daughters watching. The sails really did glow in the low sharp sunlight and I love the way they look in the picture.
