Church tower

All Saints West Farleigh Kent. In 1523 a parishioner left £5 for a tower to be added to the church. The tower was half the size it is now and had a wooden pyramid roof. The top half was added in 1841 and contains the church bells, which since 2007 have been chimed by pushing a button. My brother-in-Law has recently become the Rector here and is looking into getting the bells rung. Bells that are rung sound significantly better than bells that are chimed I hope he succeeds. The church is fascinating I shall be making another visit soon to look inside the church chest, but that's another story.
