Heritage Day

It is Heritage Day in South Africa today, also punted locally as National Braai (BBQ) Day.
Home-made bread in the oven, and meat on the braai, together with corn on the cob and a salad made for a lovely holiday lunch under a brolly alongside the pool for wife H and myself.
Have not plucked up the courage yet to test the water of the pool, even though it is looking great.

Definitions:
BRAAI - A South African celebration of sunshine, friends, family and meat cooked perfectly over hot coals by a guy wielding a pair of tongs and an ice- cold beer.
BBQ - An American method of cooking meat for several hours ( until it falls off the bone ) in a rig called a smoker by a guy called a pitmaster.
