Thank goodness for ILS

On a normal day this shot would be looking right down the centre line of the lights at Aberdeen Airport but today you cannot even see them. I know in today's world of aviation it is all about computers flying the planes etc but on days like today the pilots really do earn their crust flying with the instrument landing system.

Tried to get a shot a of a plane landing but the mist / sea har is that thick you can only hear them and not even get a glimpse of their landing lights which is pretty spooky.

There is a fantastic word that they use around here to describe a day like this and that is DREEK, That sums it up really.
