Florence

Day 4 Today we were in La Spezia Italy and spent the day in Florence. Ordered room service for breakfast since we were up and out early, we do know how to live! Florence was a 2 hour drive away and stopped of at a leather factory on the way there. Bad idea! Me and my mum came out with beautiful leather bags, mines costing half of my spending money, so what you only live once! We arrived at piazza Santa Croce, one of the main squares of the historic centre of Florence, Italy. It takes its name from the Basilica of Santa Croce that overlooks the square. We sat in the square ate pizza and absorbed the atmosphere. Went to dinner then to the casino for a short spell. Cocktail of the day Venetian Hurricane - starting to taste the same to me, still, very nice! Phoned home, sister discharged from hospital Nana still in. Early night of to Rome tomorrow 7.30am start have to set the alarm!!
