Spotlight on Mr Heron

Mr Heron was standing on the island in the middle of the small pond at the park again when Kuzey and I walked past it this afternoon. Most of the area was already covered in shade but Mr Heron had put himself exactly in the only place where the sun still hit the island, making it look like a spotlight was shining on him.

I took several other photos of Ladybirds, a Hoverfly and also a Scorpion Fly after my walk with Kuzey but I didn't think any of them good enough when I looked at them at home so most, if not all of them will be going into the bin.
