Cirrus
These types of clouds usually predict wind or more wind to come. And the weather forecast told us that as well. Again a nature's warning that always works. In the Netherlands these streaks in the sky are called 'wind feathers' but I doubt if this is a common expression. The radius pattern in the cirrus clouds are also seen in an extreme form when a tropical cyclone is very close. It looks like a kind of a blue white Japanese flag in the sky then. Better hope that your observations will only be limited to skies like these. On the picture you'll see the barge still hold on the stern of the Thialf by the Carlo Magno and the Retriever. Hopefully the loading and sea fastening of the barge will be completed somewhere Thursday night or early Friday morning.
