Cutting the grass
Apart from the odd car heading down to the beach or the postie whizzing past it's pretty unusual for us to hear the sound of engines around here. The big exception to that is at silage cutting time. It's like the city centre: lights, noise, hustle and bustle.
Last night they were working in the field across from us until gone midnight. I did briefly think about heading out to try and take a pic of the tractors churning up and down the field with their lights shining. But I couldn't be bothered to wait until after midnight and went to bed instead.
This morning it wasn't quite so photogenic. Grey day, empty fields and the odd tractor going past with a trailer full of silage to the farm. Everything was done by mid afternoon... just in time for the rain to start.
I think the field on the left is still to be cut. So I might yet get a shot of industrial agriculture in action.
