Same place, same time
Just like yesterday Kuzey was my walking companion again this afternoon and just like yesterday we met up again with Mr Heron at the small pond at the park.
Today was quite a stressful day, except for my walk with Kuzey. This morning I had to do a test for a job application. Fortunately I didn't have to go anywhere for it but I could do it on the computer at home. Having to wait the rest of the day for my results was even worse than doing the test and it was a relief to finally find out that I'd passed and that I now have an interview lined up for next week.
I couldn't ride my bicycle to the sanctuary this afternoon because it had yet another flat rear tyre. I hadn't noticed it until I went downstairs to see Rosie an hour before I had to leave. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time anymore to do anything about it but I did still have enough time to catch a tram the tram to the sanctuary instead. Usually glass is the cause of my flat tyres but I haven't been able to discover yet whether that was the case this time as well. I've become so fed up with getting flat tyres though that I've invested in a more expensive new tyre that has an extra protective layer of gel on the inside in, which should prevent glass from reaching the inner tube. Now I can only hope that it will do what it says on the label and that I won't have another flat tyre any time soon.
I'd hoped to be able to relax when I got home from this afternoon's walk but instead I had the rather questionable pleasure of having to replace not only the punctured inner tube, but also the outside tyre as well. The only advantage of getting so many flat tyres is that it's taking me considerably less time now than when I had to do it the first time.
Thank you so much for all the comments and stars on my blip of Mr Heron from yesterday. As usual I appreciate them very much.
