To Meet an Inspirational Man

Here our boat is sharing a lock with a boat called Victoria Plum registered at Hull. With the history of us all at Hull University we soon got in to conversation with the owner of this boat.

If you look very carefully you will see a small floating platform at the front. This is described as "Victoria Plum's Garage". Therein lies the clue because we were told that this houses the owner's mobility buggy. The boat is completely automated and the owner is able to control it single handed with a remote control!

So there he was living his dream and we were very impressed by what he had achieved.
