Living Dangerously
Having mowed the lawn this afternoon, the weather was warm enough for a variety of butterflies to feed on the last blooms of the buddleia, so out came the camera for some flight shots. While I was taking these pictures (not many succesful ones), the robin came to pick up insects from the newly mowed lawn. If you look closely, there is actually a bug sitting on the top of robin's beak. Hence the title.
The lawn looks much better. What we need now is for the temperature to drop so that the grass doesn't grow again. Don't suppose that will happen, and I'll have to hope for another dry spell to mow it before the winter sets in properly.
