Falling leaves

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.
-Albert Camus

It really is like a second spring with the exception that it is much cooler. Really, it is more like a fall fashion show with the trees displaying their new fall collection of colors. Burnt orange and deep burgundies are big this year.

I was sitting in the park today and admiring some of the early colors of fall when I decided to take some photos for my blip today. I guess it was a little too early for spectacular images of the changing leaves but I managed to find a few trees that have already been affected by the cool nights we have had lately.
Autumn used to remind me of the start of the school year and so for many, many years…okay until recently, I did not like this time of year. I have recently come to appreciate this time of year though and now I actually look forward to it. The only drawback really is the decreasing daylight hours. I think that for some people it is comforting to have longer nights to snuggle up with a good book. I prefer daylight. I will however embrace this time of year for the benefits it offers and when spring comes again, I will be even more grateful for those longer days to return.
