We took the girls out to the zoo. It helped to keep our minds occupied and to be away from the house with so many reminders. I see such a difference in Frances this time round. She was really taking in the animals and enjoying watching them. A beautiful sunny day that I couldn't help but find myself thinking how Laika would have enjoyed that. All too familiar feelings of loss circulating. I'd forgotten how painful this can be.x
