Signs of Autumn

Rowan Berries, a sure sign that autumn is upon us, re-inforced by the realisation as I took the dogs a walk this afternoon, that as the sun is going down earlier, I will soon have to take the dogs out an hour or more earlier. It is the difference between getting an afternoon cup of tea before walking with the dogs and having to wait until their needs have been met.

Also as the daylight decreases, the sun begins to go down behind the clump of trees beside our house rather than over the field. As a townie for many years these things did not seem to figure so much but now living in the countryside and being out and about walking the dogs regularly these things become much more important.
