What part of this Lockerbie situation do a) the Americans and b) the media not get?

Or is it, as it usually is in the UK, that the media are just fanning the flames of ignorance and playing "Devil's Advocate".

I think the media is worse than that because they know that some people will hang on their every word as if it is gospal when they know it isn't true and the damage it can do for the sake of keeping a story going.

I don't buy newspapers for that reason. Muck raking irresponsible scum that journalists are.

For example the "outrage" over absence levels in the NHS staffing (it actually included ancilliary staff as well but we'll not even go there just now) and they even go off with mental illnesses!

While shamelessly insinuating that NHS staff members are skiving, malingering wasters (that was the whole point of the "outrage" and today's news "story") what they seem to shamelessly ignore is the big question and that is if absence levels are up then why could that be?

Could it be that working conditions are poor, staff are overworked, short in number, poorly equipped and, depending on what day of the week it is, often slated, regardless of their hard work, by scum sucking leaches who make a living out of making other people's lives a misery?

There was "outrage" at the plans for doctors to reduce their working hours last month which brings me back to the Lockerbie issue - it's the fecking LAW!!! We are bound by it.

How irresponsible can the media be for publishing, and people be for swallowing, all this "outrage"?

As for Geroge W. Obama he quite clearly is scared of upsetting the voters and Hilary.

Do these people forget that the plane crashed in Scotland?

That Scottish (and a whole host of other nationalities) people died too?

That the Scottish legal system had to pick up the pieces (literally) despite interference from America who wanted the matter to be tried in the States depite that fact that the crime was committed thousands of miles away?

Obama is showing his true colours. "Change" - m'arse.
