Our children will not have so many unanswered questions, as our lives are so publicly documented.
My ancestors are proving to be difficult because of subterfuge and unofficial name changes. I suspect there is something to do with a scandal...with my 2nd great grandmother, also Sarah Ann. Possible illegitimatacy, made legitimate only when my great grandad was in his 20s. Wish I knew for sure. I do know that she was a leather ironer and that the man she did marry eventually was a Costermonger. I believe this is a street trader. My great grandad worked a dock worker in his early 20s and lived in London.

It seems I am a geographical mongrel...with my family lines converging from London, Yorkshire, Lancashire and Merseyside.
