Let the sunshine

Well the sun shone again today, a very hot day, the sort of day that's perfect for a walk in the forest. We headed for Ord Hill after completing a few jobs at home. We
walked up to the site of a vitrified Iron Age Fort. The Fort would have covered most of the summit but today a lot is lost in the trees and the undergrowth.

I have never seen so many fungi of all shapes and sizes. I wished 'Pennybun' had been with us to help us id what we saw. There were plenty of birds in the canopy, mainly coal tits but a few gold crests and a tree creeper.

We had a very pleasant walk and this view sums up the feeling of the day. Hope you all had sunshine to enjoy and that those taking in the Baxters Lochness Marathon and 10k were not too hot :)
