Today was incredible. So many colours, so many smiles and SO many photographs. I was the "official photographer" although every single parent was waving an iPad, a camera, a camcorder or a phone in the air as their babies paraded and performed for Independence Day. Everyone came in their Nigerian dress (including me!) and it was a wonderful event. I am sitting on my bed, exhausted as usual! I ran around school all day snapping away, and now have over 800 photos to cut down, edit and resize for the school website!

The reason I am not uploading one of the photos from my camera (there are a few I'm pretty chuffed with) is that my Internet USB dongle thingy has run out of credit/data/whatever. So instead, here's a photo of one of the photos (?!) - myself, my colleague Kemi and one of our butterflies, YoYo (who called himself YoYoLicious today...!!!)

OFF SCHOOL TOMORROW! Even though ill spend it doing school work, it still means no 5am wake up, pyjamas all day and basically being a slug (dad if you're reading this, you know I'll always remain a slug).

25 sleeps until I fly to Kenya to see James! I'm glad that I'm so busy each day because the time flies so fast - yes there's a lot to do, and it's stressful and so much harder than I ever realised it would be (teaching really isn't an easy job, at ALL), but I do feel as if the weeks are zooooooming past. He's doing well, and Gracie and Annie came back from Australia last week too. I'm looking forward to seeing them all. Won't see Hannah until Christmas - but that's another thing to add to the list of things to look forward to.
