After the storm

Whew. It was a good call to not try to come to the island yesterday - all the ferries were cancelled due to the high wind storm yesterday. It looked promising for today so off we went early - even tho it looked like we might not have any power. Rain and wind interspersed with sunbreaks when we got here and yep, no power. The good part is we got to check out our new plan with small generator and new electrical outlets to power the refrigerator- which worked great. Espresso in my little Italian espresso pot on the propane stovetop. All good.
Only 1 small tree down. And the power was restored before 4PM!
Only problem left is the wifi won’t connect to the internet.. Humm, did something happen to that thing 95 feet up in the tree? So this blip is off the iphone - shows the schizoid nature of the day as we arrived here about noon. (It was much more the left side than the right side as the day progressed!) The little tomato wires on the pilings keep the birds from perching there and doing their thing. ( they have lots of other spots to perch.)

OK - no talk about weather tomorrow! promise. Happy to be in the woods...
