View from the Woolwich Ferry
We tootled off early and spent the morning at Eltham Palace.
Next stop was to take a trip on the Woolwich Ferry, just because we hadn't ever been on it before.
Later we went to the Bank of England Museum. Much more interesting than I anticipated. It was fun to try and lift a gold bar weighing 28lbs; I managed to make it move but to actually lift it up with one hand, for me, was impossible. I better point out that this is part of the hands on exhibit, I wasn't attempting to make off with it.
In the evening we met up with Rob and had dinner at Tibits, a vegetarian restaurant off Regent Street, where you are charged according to the weight of the food on your plate! Very lovely it was too. I think my hunger drew me towards the heavy options.... but what the heck, it's holiday time and I don't care!
Home late and the usual dilemma as to which picture to blip with.
I am likely to be a little sporadic with my uploading and commenting over the next week or so, please forgive me.
