Red velvet

Pete made this cake on Sunday - it is huge, and very very rich, but here we are, nearly half way through it.

It's a red velvet chocolate cake - slightly amended as we didn't have enough beetroot for the recipe so he used some of the blackberries I picked a few weeks ago. Whoever would have thought that beetroot, blackberry and chocolate would be such a fabulous combo? It's delicious.
