Dinner//Deconstructed

Apart from Ida insisting on shoving bits of broccoli up her nose I think it's fair to say we have made it through the move relatively unscathed.

The big shiny floor arrived today. I was terrified my initial love of it was down to being harassed with the kids in Carpetright but I actually love it.

Phew. So now that's in, we can get the last of the units built and the kitchen will be almost finished - apart from the tiles with the controversial* grout.

After that we have to admit that we have a living room (we've been hiding in the kitchen since we moved in) and do something with it. I suppose getting some seating in there would be a start...

Oh and in among all this chaos I got an email from a new magazine saying they are going to publish the short story I submitted. In ACTUAL PRINT.

I am quite shocked about that. But also mightily chuffed.

*bit of an exaggeration....
