Successes

Annie has been working in Copley (near Halifax) today. Part of her working day was attending a cultural awareness session. A very helpful and worthwhile session as we increase our use of global resources in IT. She has driven down to Bristol this evening.

For regular visitors to our blips, you'll be delighted to hear that our work-based fund raising efforts to buy a Gromit from the Gromit Unleashed event has been a success. For several months we've had cake sales, run marathons, cycled many miles, abseiled, done quizzes, and many, many other things. Happily, the office is now a proud owner of a Gromit (called "Why Dog? Why?", for the Gromit Unleashed fans) and the Bristol Children's Hospital is considerably better off as a result to the tune of £18,000. As I type the auction is still underway but has raised in excess of £2 million!!!

This evening I've also sat and very patiently refreshed the internet a lot of times to get 2 tickets for Glastonbury 2014. Thankfully that was also a successful pursuit!

After a couple of abstract blips this week I thought we'd come back to a bit of reality with these lovely blooms.
