Pacific Crest Trail

Today we hiked for a few miles along the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). We had a storm last weekend and the mountains above Snoqualmie Pass are already dusted with snow. The storm came in suddenly and we read in the Seattle Times that four PCT hikers were stuck in the storm. Two have been rescued but they are searching for the other two. I hope they survive.

Today the trail took us across the Snoqualmie ski resort where the lifts were undergoing maintenance. It won't be long now before skiers are on this slope.
