Portrait of a dear friend
One of the consolations about growing older is that the friends who stick with you through thick and thin become your family. Eva and I became friends when we were both living in Southern California. We were two young mothers supporting each other, baby sitting for each other, encouraging each other. About 16 years ago I moved to Seattle and started lobbying Eva and her family to also make the move. It took her family about 10 years to relocate but we finally live in the same state! It's wonderful to spend time with my dear friend again.
