Day 15 - Sober for October

I can't stop the tears. They are very happy tears though - but it's not my news to tell.

It hit me yesterday that I had one week to get ourselves organised for our holiday. I'm determined that it will be a holiday for me too but for that to happen means one of two things - either chuck money at it or commence Operation Extreme Efficiency.
So blood tests, Lidl for the necessaries and then batch cooking of chicken & chickpea stew, twice-cooked pork belly and spag bol sauce. Rough puff pastry for pasties today, baking over the weekend and then I think we can wing the rest when we get there.

The Little Shop of Treasures was a hoot again. I learned about Back Room Rotation and then they learned that I knew my way around a computer and could type with more than one finger. It felt a bit like the old days. Except without a PA to boss about ;)

Oh and Scottish Opera is coming to Kelso! Handel's Rodelinda. I'm buying my ticket today.
