Stephenson Street
Stephenson Street in Birmingham, here reflected in the new 'hall of mirrors' style facade on New Street Station. New Street Station, as anyone who has been there will know, was unlikely to win any kind of architectural award, unless perhaps the award title included the word 'Kafkaesque'. I'm happy to report that the programme of renovations and remodelling has been done well, and it is a much more pleasant experience - also the exit is now on the aforementioned Stephenson Street, a more natural starting point for walking into the city centre than the old option of emerging by the taxi rank. I was only there just long enough to find my way out, take this, and then get back down below to continue on my way.
