18.7C starting cloudy with showers clearing though the afternoon with some blue sky appearing and feeling warm. Light breeze.

The rain took its time to clear today. Quite a while after lunch before Maeve the Deerhound and I went out for a walk. We went down the road to the shore and along to the Fishermen's huts. No one was about.

There was much less wind than yesterday although the waves were still crashing into the beach. We stood at the back of the beach and watched the waves for some minutes. The spray was slowly rolling up towards the fields like a fine mist.

We carried on round our usual route up the main road and back round the streets to our house. We met two puppies on the way. A 6 month old Cocker Spaniel, then later a little Westie. Maeve rushed up to each in turn but then stood nicely and let them make friends.
